BCECE 2017 or Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination 2017 is a state level entrance exam conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board also known as BCECEB. BCECE 2017

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) is a state level examination organized by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). The entrance examination of BCECE is conducted in two stages, namely stage 1 and stage 2 for admission to the first year UG courses in engineering and agriculture field is provided.


Bihar Combines Entrance competitive Examination 2017 application process will be started in the last week of February, 2017.   • Candidates who face the single exam as PCM or PCB they need to pay Rs. 660/- (General/OBC) and 330/- for the SC/ST candidates.

  • Candidates, who are applying for the PCMB exam they required to deposit 730/- (General/OBC) and 365/- for the SC/ST candidates.

  • Candidate can submit online application fee by downloading the Canara Bank Challan or can also deposit via net banking/Credit/Debit Card online.


Qualification Eligibility

  • For engineering and technology (four year) programmes, candidates must have passed the 12thor equivalent class with Physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one elective subject from chemistry, bio-technology, biology or technical vocational subject.

  • Candidates must have secured 45% marks (for general category) and 40% marks (for reserved category) in the 12thor equivalent exam.

  • For pharmacy (four year) course, students must have cleared intermediate or equivalent exam with physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects and one elective subject from mathematics, biology or technical vocational subject.

  • Students should have scored minimum 45% marks (for general candidate) and 40% marks (for reserved candidate) in intermediate or equivalent exam.

  • Candidates who are appearing in the 12thor equivalent exam are also eligible to apply but they must have passed the appearing exam at the time of counselling.

Domicile Eligibility

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

  • Candidate should belong to Bihar state.

  • Candidate’s parents must be a permanent residence of Bihar state.

  • If student’s parents belong from different state, but they are government employee of Bihar state.

Other Eligibility

  • Student should have completed 17 years age as on 31stDecember of the year of admission for agriculture and medical courses.

  • There is no minimum age limit required for engineering courses.

  • For admissions, candidates have to go through the medical test. Candidate will be eligible for admission after clearing this test.

BCECE 2017 exam will be held in two stages:

BCECE 2017 Stage 1

There will be four sections in the exam i.e. from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. All the questions will be of MCQ type having 4 options. The total no. of question will be 200, i.e. 50 from each section. The duration of the examination is 2 hours 15 min. The question paper will be of total 600 marks. For each incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted.

All candidates have to attempt physics and chemistry as compulsory sections, and Math and biology as optional as per their chosen field for engineering or medical.

BCECE 2017 Stage 2

The stage 2 will also contain four sections from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology, having 100 questions in each subject and each subject carries 400 marks with +4 marks for correct answer and -1 for wrong answer.



The BCECE 2017 exam will be held on two stages. Candidates can download their admit card of BCECE 2017 stage 2 exam from 1st week of May 2017 through the official website of the board. The BCECE 2017 admit card for stage 1 can be downloaded from last week of March, 2017 and the BCECE 2017 counselling will begins from the second week of June, 2016 (Tentative).

How to Download the Admit Card

Candidates have to follow these simple steps which are provided here to download the admit card:

  • First of all, candidates needed to visit the official website of the board.

  • Candidates are required to enter their Registration No. and DOB then click on submit.

  • After that, the admit card will appear on the computer screen.

  • Candidates are required to keep extra copies of the admit card for further need.

The result for the first stage of BCECE 2017 will be declared during 1st week of May 2017. The result for the second stage of BCECE 2017 will be declared during 1st week of June 2017.


BCECE 2017 Counselling result and details of vacant seats for first round of seat allotment for BCECE 2017 (Stage 2) will be released from the last week of July 2017. The counselling procedure is being conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). BCECE Counselling 2017 is based on candidates’ merit ranks in BCECE 2017. The process of BCECE 2017 Counselling involves online option entry and document verification after the seat allotment.   1. Registration:

The initial step towards BCECE Counselling is registration. Candidates have to register by entering these details: BCECE 2017 Roll Number, Name, Father's Name and date of birth.

In the next step, the candidates have to enter the following particulars:

  • Address for Contact

  • Mobile No

  • Security Question

Note: The Password needs to be 8-13 characters, should have at least one special character, at least one upper case letter and at least one number.

  1. Choice Filling and Locking:

Candidates are required to log in making use of their BCECE 2017 Roll No and password

Once logged in, the following columns/options will get displayed:

  • Registration Details

  • Available Choices

  • Fill Choices

  • Display Filled Choices

  • Change password

  • Provisional Allotment Letter

At this step, the candidates need to make the aforementioned choices and lock them. They shouldn't forget to take a printout of the filled in choices for future references. If need be, the candidates can also change their password.

  1. Provisional Seat Allotment:

Here, the applicants need to check the status of their seat allotment. They must take a printout of the BCECE 2017 Provisional Allotment letter, once they have downloaded it.

The allotment letter will specify the BCECE 2017 Counselling centre where the candidates need to report for handwriting verification.

  1. Handwriting verification:

Under this process, in a uniform way, specimen of handwriting of the candidates is taken, which is further compared with the text written by a particular candidate on the OMR answer sheets. This procedure is to ensure the authenticity of successful candidates appearing in BCECE counseling.

  1. Final BCECE Seat Allotment:

Those candidates, who have been successful in the signature verification/handwriting test, will need to login to check their final BCECE 2017 Seat Allotment.

They are required to download the Final BCECE Seat Allotment letter.

As per the specifications in the allotment letter, the candidates have to report at the specified venue for document verification and fee payment.

  1. Document Verification and Admission:

Those candidates, who have been allotted seats through Final BCECE Seat Allotment need to download the Final BCECE 2017 Seat Allotment Letter. Further, the candidates shall report to the specified institution, where document verification and rest of the formalities pertaining to the admission process will be done.
