BITSAT 2017 is a Computer based online test for Admission to Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

It is one of the most important National Level Engineering Entrance Examination for which a student must appear.

BITSAT 2017 Application Form:

The BITSAT 2017 Application Form is available online from 29th December, 2016. The Application Form is available only online and in no other mode.

The BITSAT 2017 Application Form can be filled online on . The Students must follow the instructions to fill the application form. Also they must read the eligibility criteria and ensure that they meet the same before filling the form.

After the candidates have filled the Form they must keep a copy of the same with them for reference. The Physical Form should not be sent via post to the College. Completing the Online Application and payment ensures the submission of the BITSAT 2017 Application Form.

The Students need to complete the following steps to submit the BITSAT 2017 Application Form online:

  • Online Registration
  • Filling the Application Form: By filling the Personal Details, Qualification and uploading desired documents.
  • Completing Payment: By Completing the Payment either Online or Offline for the Application Form.


BITSAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria:

The BITSAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

  • For admission to all the above programmes except B.Pharm.(Hons.): Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
  • For admission to B.Pharm. (Hons.): Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English. However candidates with PCM subjects may also apply for Pharmacy program.

Admission to all the programmes is subject to the conditions given below.

The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology subjects.

Only Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2017 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2016 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2017 test. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2015 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2017. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2017.

BITSAT 2017 Exam Pattern:

BITSAT 2017 Exam Pattern is as follows:

BITSAT 2017 will be of total 3-hour duration (without break). The test consists of four parts:

Part I: Physics

Part II:  Chemistry

Part III:  (a) English Proficiency and   (b) Logical Reasoning

Part IV:  Mathematics or Biology (For B. Pharma candidates)

All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with choice of four answers, only one being correct choice. Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1mark).  No marks are awarded for questions not attempted. While the candidate can skip a question, the computer will not allow the candidate to choose more than one option as correct answer.

There will be 150 questions in all. The number of questions in each part is as follows:

BITSAT 2017 Admit Card:

The BITSAT 2017 Admit Card will be available for download online from 15th April, 2017 till 10th May, 2017. The Admit Card will be available for download online after the candidate has scheduled the Test date for BITSAT 2017.

The BITSAT 2017 Admit Card can be downloaded from: . The Admit Card is an important document and must be kept carefully by the candidate as it is required for submission at time of the BITSAT Test.


BITSAT 2017 Result:

The Result can be seen on . The BITSAT Result 2017 will have the Admit List as well as the Waiting List for admissions into the 3 campuses of BITS Pilani: Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

The Score of the Candidates in BITSAT 2017 will be declared instantly after the Online BITSAT is given by the Candidate on the test date as scheduled by them. The BITSAT Result 2017 will actually show the minimum score required to get into the B.Tech and B.Pharm courses offered at BITS Pilani, BITS Goa and BITS Hyderabad Campus.

BITSAT 2017 Counselling Procedure:

The BITSAT 2017 Counselling Procedure will be conducted online after the BITSAT Result is declared. The Counselling Procedure will be conducted as per the Admit and Waiting List released by BITS Pilani in BITSAT Result 2017.

Through the BITSAT 2017 Counselling Procedure the students will get admissions in the B.Tech and B.Pharm courses offered by BITS Pilani- PIlani, Goa and Hyderabad campus.

The Admission in BITS Pilani is also given to students who are board toppers. They have to apply for the college after the announcements are made tentatively in the 2nd week of May, 2017.
