  • IPU CET 2016 was OMR based. It is advisable to use only black ball pen for writing or marking on OMR answer sheet.

  • The subjects for IPU CET Exam 2016 were Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (comprised of 33.33% each).

  • IPU CET 2016 comprised Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and the candidate had to select the correct answer amongst four choices given.

  • IPU CET 2016 Exam duration was of two and half hours.

  • There was negative marking in IPU CET 2016. One mark was deducted for every wrong answer.

Lateral Entry to B.Tech. Programmes for Diploma holders

Three-years diploma in any of the following branches Engg./Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized Diploma awarding institute/university/board recognized by AICTE: Computer Engg; Automobile Engg; Chemical Engg, Civil Engg, Construction Engg, Electrical Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engg., Maintenance Engg., Plastic Engg., Printing Technology, Production Engg., Public Health & Environmental Engg., Tool & Die Making.

Lateral Entry to B.Tech. Programmes for B.Sc.Graduates

B.Sc. Graduates with 60% marks in aggregate with pass in Mathematics as a subject from any recognized University.

B.Tech. (Bio-Technology)

Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination.

B.Tech. CET

Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination.
