JEE Advanced 2016 Analysis:

IIT Guwahati and CBSE conducted JEE Advanced 2016 on 22nd May, 2016. Over two lakh, students appeared for JEE Advanced 2016. The examination consisted of two papers:

  • Paper 1 – 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Paper 2 – 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

JEE Advanced is considered as the toughest Engineering examination which makes the way for students to get into India’s premier institutes like IIT and ISM.

Both the papers had three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

In Paper I & II both, Total 54 Questions were asked. 18 Questions from each subject were asked. Both papers were of 186 marks. Each subject was of 124 marks overall. Total marks for both paper combined were 372. Total 141 marks questions were from class 11th syllabus and 231 marks questions were from class 12th syllabus.

JEE Advanced 2016 Analysis – Paper 1

Paper 1 consisted of,

  • Five multiple choice questions with a single correct option (This section had negative marking)

  • Eight multiple choice questions, which had one or more correct answer (This section had negative marking)

  • If the candidate did not mark any option, no marks were deducted

JEE Advanced 2016 Analysis – Paper 2

Paper 2 consisted of,

  • Six multiple choice questions with single correct option (This section had negative marking)

  • Eight multiple choice questions, which had with one or more correct options (This section had negative marking)

  • Two paragraphs with two questions each  (This section had no negative marking)
