JEE Main 2016 Analysis:

The JEE Main 2016 is the most important engineering entrance examination of India was conducted by CBSE on April 3rd, 2016 in offline mode and on April 9th and 10th in the online or computer based mode. The examination is held for admissions in the Engineering and Architecture courses offered by all the NITs, IIITs, GFTIs etc. it also serves as the entry criteria for JEE Advanced which is the entrance exam for IITs and JEE Main is also used by many states for admissions of the other state students in their colleges.

The JEE Main Exam Pattern 2016 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is as follows:

The Detailed JEE Main Exam Pattern 2016 is as follows:

Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech):

  1. Duration: 3 hours.

  2. Total Questions:

  3. Total Sections: 3 – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

  4. Maximum Marks:

  5. Sectional Division: Each section consists of 30 questions each with an equal weightage of 120 marks each.

  6. Marks allotted per question: For Each correct answer 4 marks are allotted.

  7. Negative Marking: For every incorrect response/answer 1 mark will be deducted. There is no negative marking for not answering/ attempting the question.

Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning):

  1. The Question paper consists of three parts- Part I, Part II and Part III.

  2. Part I: Aptitude Test consists of 50 objective questions of 4 marks each.

  3. Part II: It has 30 objective type questions of mathematics having 4 marks each.

  4. Part III: It consists of 2 questions for 70 marks that have to be attempted on a separate drawing sheet provided at the time of examination.
