About Exam :

VITEEE or VIT Engineering Entrance Test is conducted by VIT University all over India. The Examination is conducted only in online mode in three sessions on each day of the examination. The exam is a computer based test (CBT) that is held in centres across the country and abroad. Questions are based on the specified syllabus with options to attempt papers in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCB).


VITEEE is conducted for admissions in the 15 Branches of Engineering offered by the VIT University at its two campuses namely at Vellore and Chennai. It is one of the important national level engineering entrance exams of India as VIT is among the Top Private Engineering Colleges of India.

VITEEE is a Computer Based Test of 2 hours and 30 minutes duration. The Exam has four parts namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and English. VITEEE has now introduced a new compulsory section of English in the paper which contains 5 questions of it. Candidates attempting Physics, Chemistry & Biology are eligible for B.Tech Bio-Medical Engineering, Biotechnology and Computer Science and Engineering (Specialization in Bioinformatics) programmes only. While Candidates attempting Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics are eligible for all 15 Programmes offered.

There are a total of 125 questions with three parts carrying 40 questions each and 5 questions of English. Each question carries one mark each. There is no negative marking in VITEEE.
