AADHAAR Number now a must to fill JEE Main 2017 Application

JEE Main 2017 aspirants will necessarily need an AADHAAR number to fill application form for the largest engineering entrance exam. According to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) officials, all the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI. The new eligibility criteria introduced by the exam authority means that an aspirant will not be able to submit online applications unless it carries his/her AADHAAR number. In case, an aspirant does not hold an AADHAR number, he/she will have to get it first to apply for JEE Main 2017.

As per the new notification, even if there is wrong information on the student's UID/ AADHAAR card they need to get it corrected before applying for the examination. The Application Form of JEE Main 2017 is scheduled to start from December 1, 2016 and will end on January 2, 2017. While the last date for payment is January 3, 2017.

The JEE Main 2017 will be conducted by CBSE on April 2, 2017. The Exam is the foremost engineering entrance exam in India. It is used for admissions in the NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and various CFTIs. The Exam is also used as sole criteria for admissions by some states for engineering. Also JEE Main 2017 Score and Rank is used by all States and Union Territories for filling some percentage of their Engineering UG Seats.

The JEE Main 2017 also serves as the first stage for admissions into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and ISM Dhanbad.  The Top 1.5 lakh candidates as per JEE Main 2017 Score will be selected for JEE Advanced 2017- the second stage for admissions to IITs and ISM.

Last year in JEE Main 2016, a total of 13 lakh students appeared in the exam for admissions to 31 NITs, 18 IIITs and 18 GFTIs, which are the participating institutes of JEE Main.

The JEE Main 2017 Examination will be conducted on  April 2, 2017 for Paper 1 (Pen and Paper based Examination) and Paper 2 (For B.Arch and B.Des). The Computer Based Examination for Paper 1 will be conducted in the 2nd week of April, 2017.
