Indian Navy To Consider JEE (Main) Rank In 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry:
Indian Navy To Consider JEE (Main) Rank In Shortlisting Candidates For SSB Interview In 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme. Online Registration for four years B.Tech Degree course at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy under 10+2 B.Tech cadet entry scheme will open From June 2017 for the batch commencing January 2018.
Candidates have to take the JEE (Main) in 2017 to be eligible for entry to the January 2018 course at the Indian Naval Academy.Earlier, the candidates were shortlisted to this Indian Naval Academy (INA) scheme on the basis of percentage of class XII marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM), which will no longer be considered for entry to 10+2 B.Tech cadet entry scheme. As per the new selection criteria, around 120 candidates will be shortlisted to appear in Services Selection Board (SSB) for interviews based on their JEE Main scores.
The JEE scores have been chosen as a benchmark to negate the uneven nature of scoring systems adopted by various state examination boards.
Another mode of entry to the Indian Navy is UPSC, wherein the Indian Navy shortlists 110 candidates to directly join the INA for 4-year-B.Tech programs. Shortlisting of candidates through this mode takes place in two batches every year.
